Permanent Cosmetic Pigments

The pigment ingredients are gamma-ray sterilized, and comprised of the absolute highest quality pigments with the highest lightfastness rating for maximum colour stability and performance. The lightfastness of each pigment is matched evenly across each pigment ingredient to reduce colour shifting. They will only become a lighter version of the original colour.

Permanent makeup is a "layering" process of carefully inserting microscopic colorants into the dermis, each layer increases saturation and density of the result. Think of a crayon, or a watercolor painting, rather than a permanent marker. We do NOT use INK like body tattoo artists. In cases of camouflaging scars and corrective makeup the goal can only be achieved through repeated applications and refinements of color and/or shape. The goal of the first application is to initially "saturate" the desired area to be pigmented.

Because it's easy to add color and difficult to take away, your Clinician will be conservative and light-handed in the initial application of your new color. Take advantage of the consultation to discuss your wants and needs. It's also a time where you and your Clinician will choose the right colors and discuss any special requests you may have. Cooperation will largely determine the end result of your procedures. Remember it is a team effort.

The "exact" color that will result in your skin cannot be guaranteed, but it will be a pleasing color.  The human skin is a living canvas and has its own colors, areas with more wear, sun exposure scarring, areas with more or less hair, wrinkles, circulatory, anatomical muscle and bone differences. Everyone heals differently. Expect at least 2-3 applications required to initially create your look.

Permanent makeup is not intended to replace cosmetics completely. Because the color is placed "in" your skin and not "on" your skin a more natural, softer look results. When you're ready to kick up your heels and go out for a night-on-the-town, you can apply as much additional makeup as you wish.

Permanent make-up is long-lasting. However, as you become accustomed to your new makeup it's not uncommon to want more. You will want to freshen up your new makeup every couple of years. The darker the color, such as black, the longer it will stay unchanged in your skin. Natural, delicate colors are oftentimes more vulnerable to the effects of sun, swimming and breakdown by the body.

Your permanent makeup will more than likely need to be refreshed every 1-5 years following your initial procedures. The goal of this visit is to fill in any areas or boost the color as needed. You are unique so you cannot predict in advance how often you will need to schedule a procedure to refresh your makeup. A good indication of needing maintenance is when you start having to add to your permanent makeup with pencil or other cosmetics.

Colors change with time and may fade to a different color on occasion. I can also alter the shape, color or design for you in the future.

2 applications are required. In more complicated situations, there may be a need for several applications in order to get a fully saturated and established result at your cost. Once this is obtained, maintenance is less. It is important to commit to the process until it is completed.
